Hotel and Catering Training School (Levy of Fees) Act

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Hotel and Catering Training School (Levy of Fees) Act.

2. Interpretation

In this Act —"fee" means the fee leviable under section 3 (1);"Minister" means the Minister to whom responsibility for the subject of tourism is assigned;"School" means the Hotel and Catering Training School.

3. Levy of fees

(1)A fee of 150 rupees per month shall be levied in respect of every student of the School who is sponsored by a hotel establishment.
(2)The fee shall be paid by the hotel establishment sponsoring the student.
(3)No student sponsored by an hotel establishment shall be admitted to the School unless the fee has previously been paid by the hotel establishment.
(4)The Minister may, by regulations, amend the fee.
